Be Just and Fair

New Testament: Col 4.1

To read the Bible in a year, read Colossians 4 on October 12, In the year of our Lord Christ 2024

By Don Ruhl

Does someone work under you? If so, how do you treat him or her? The Holy Spirit commanded and taught the following: “Masters, give your bondservants what is just and fair, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven” (Colossians 4.1).

If you think being the employer allows you to treat people anyway you desire, even unjustly and unfairly, remember that regardless of who you are, you also have a Master in heaven.

He shall give to us as we have given to others.

Questions:

  • Do you try to treat people fairly or do you just try to get whatever you can out of them?
  • Would others describe you as a giver or a taker?
