Old Testament: Gen 7.5
To read the Bible in a year, read Genesis 6–8 on January 3, In the year of our Lord Christ 2025
By Don Ruhl
Moses wrote a simple sentence that summarizes the life of Noah: “And Noah did according to all that the LORD commanded him” (Genesis 7.5).
The rest of the world did not do what the Lord wanted done. Noah did. It was just that simple.
Therefore, the Lord destroyed the world and saved Noah and his family, who were obviously like him, following his example.
Does it not make sense to do what the Lord commands? He knows what is right and best for us. It is just that simple.
Obey him and be blessed. Disobey him and be cursed.
Questions:
- Can it be said of you in general that you do what the Lord commands you to do?
- Are you willing to go against what the world believes and practices?
