Old Testament: Gen 21.19–21
To read the Bible in a year, read Genesis 20–22 on January 8, In the year of our Lord Christ 2025

Hagar believed in God. She put her life in his hand. Therefore, later, when she had to flee from Sarah again, but permanently this time, she and her son were at the point of dying from thirst.
He then provided water for her, and everything turned out well for them: “Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the skin with water, and gave the lad a drink. So God was with the lad; and he grew and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer. He dwelt in the Wilderness of Paran; and his mother took a wife for him from the land of Egypt” (Genesis 21.19–21).
Be sure always to put your life and its circumstances in the hand of God and watch what he does.
Questions:
- Has God always provided for you?
- What does it mean to have faith in God?
