New Testament: Matt 19.20
To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 19.16–30 on January 28, In the year of our Lord Christ 2025
By Don Ruhl
A young man asked Jesus what needed to be done to inherit eternal life. Jesus gave the answer.
However, the young man was either dissatisfied with the answer or detected that more might be involved, so he asked further: “All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?” (Matthew 19.20).
He should have left off with his initial question, because he did not like the next answer that he heard from Jesus.
Know when to ask questions and when to cease asking questions, and to give yourself time to grow between the time that you ask the questions.
Questions:
- Do you like to ask people questions?
- Do you like for people to ask you questions?
