Many Sacrifices Required Much Income

Old Testament: Numbers 28.9–10

To read the Bible in a year, read Numbers 28–29 on March 2, In the year of our Lord Christ 2025

By Don Ruhl

The Lord told Moses: “And on the Sabbath day two lambs in their first year, without blemish, and two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour as a grain offering, mixed with oil, with its drink offering—this is the burnt offering for every Sabbath, besides the regular burnt offering with its drink offering.” (Numbers 28.9–10).

To offer as many sacrifices as the Lord wanted and as many as Israel wanted to offer on top of that, they would need many animals. The Lord knew that. Therefore, he would provide what they needed for the sacrifices and what they needed for living.

Questions from today’s reading and devotional:

  • Do you believe God provided Israel with all that they needed?
  • Do you believe he will do the same for you?
