Jesus approached death boldly

New Testament: Mark 10.32

To read the Bible in a year, read Mark 10.32–52 on March 5, In the year of our Lord Christ 2025

By Don Ruhl

Watch this: “Now they were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going before them; and they were amazed. And as they followed they were afraid.” (Mark 10.32a).

The disciples had been confused when Jesus spoke of his death and resurrection, not truly believing that those things could happen to him.

Yet, they did know of the opposition he faced, especially in Jerusalem. Nevertheless, they watched him, and followed him to Jerusalem with him leading the way, showing no fear. In time, they would be the same way.

Follow Jesus regardless of what happens to you, and you will find yourself growing bolder in the face of opposition.
