Peter was a fisherman, but he thought that he knew fishing more than the Creator of the fish.
Therefore, when Jesus told Peter where to catch a large amount of fish, Peter did not believe the Lord, but after learning that the Lord knew what he was talking about, Jesus said to Peter: “Do not be afraid. From now on your will catch men” (Luke 5.10b).
And did Peter ever catch men! He and his fellow apostles turned more people to Jesus than any of us will ever know, because they are still turning people to the Lord through their writings.
