New Testament: John 3.20
To read the Bible in a year, read John 3.1–21 on May 10, In the year of our Lord Christ 2025
By Don Ruhl
Jesus revealed why some people do not like the light when he said to Nicodemus: “For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed” (John 3.20).
Just the simple reading of the Scriptures makes some people uncomfortable. I have witnessed that many times. I did not even need to make any commentary, but they saw what the word of God said, and it convicted them, as it does to everyone who looks into the Scriptures.
However, some people do not want that exposure, whereas, others are happy to have the exposure, for now they know from what they must turn.
Questions:
- What do you think of the light in the Scriptures?
- Do you seek to repent of all of your sins?
