New Testament: John 16.32
To read the Bible in a year, read John 16.16–33 on June 7, In the year of our Lord Christ 2025
By Don Ruhl
Jesus prophesied to his disciples that they would all leave him alone, yet, listen to what he said further: “Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me” (John 16.32).
Paul said something similar (2 Timothy 4.16–17).
Therefore, it is true, not only for Jesus, but for us too. Even when we are alone, we are not alone, for our God is always with us, even to the end of our lives.
Questions:
- How do you handle being alone?
- How do you know that the Lord is with you?
