Think on this short verse today: “Then Annas sent Him bound to Caiaphas the high priest” (John 18.24). 

A mere man sent the Son of God bound to another mere man. Truly, they had no idea what they were doing. 

How many times have you done something that later you learned you did not know what you were doing? 

Questions from today’s reading and devotional: 

• Who stood by and warmed himself next to a fire? 
• Where did the Jews take Jesus to be judged by the Romans?
