Old Testament: 2Ch 33.1–2
To read the Bible in a year, read Second Chronicles 32–33 on June 10, In the year of our Lord Christ 2025
By Don Ruhl
The longest reign of any king in Israel or Judah was that of Manasseh: “Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. But he did evil in the sight of the LORD, according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel” (2 Chronicles 33.1–2).
It is amazing that he reigned that long. However, the word, “but,” takes away any honor that he should have had, because it introduces the fact that he was evil.
Questions:
- How long have you functioned at your job?
- Have you tried to live in righteousness at your job?
