Old Testament: Job 2.1
To read the Bible in a year, read Job 1–3 on June 24, In the year of our Lord Christ 2025
By Don Ruhl
It makes sense to us that men and angels present themselves before the Lord, but have you read in the Book of Job that Satan also presents himself before the Lord? “Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD” (Job 2.1).
In the Book of Job, this is the second time that Satan appeared before the Lord. However, his intentions were not the same as men and angels.
He wants to destroy. He appears to challenge the Lord.
There is no doubt that Satan has presented himself before the Lord, seeking permission to destroy you, but the Lord stands with you. Stand strong in your faith in the Lord, and you shall overcome the wicked one.
