As Jesus hung on the cross, His enemies were not content with the brutal Roman treatment. Therefore, they added mockery to His unsurpassable suffering,

The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him sour wine, and saying, “If You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself” (Luke 23:36–37).

If only they knew just how much He was the King of the Jews, and that someday they would see Him in His royal glory!
