This might seem obvious, but many people answer no. They believe that we do not have to obey the Lord to be saved, yet, as the Hebrew writer developed his argument for the High Priesthood of Jesus Christ, the writer said,

And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him (Hebrews 5.9).

The writer of the Book of Hebrews inspired by the Holy Spirit, was under the impression that Jesus saves those who obey Him.
