I heard a preacher say that the gays do not own the rainbow, and he was right, although they appear to have captured that imagery to signify their movement. However, in Revelation 10, the Lord showed something great to John,
I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire (Revelation 10.1).
See a rainbow on this holy angel of God. God is the One who set the rainbow in the sky as a sign, not of something unholy, but as a sign of His promise to man never to destroy the world again with a flood, as He had done in the days of Noah.
God owns the rainbow. Let Him own your heart.
I wrote an article dealing with the exact same irony that you’re talking about. Someone might find it useful: http://fellowshiproom.org/2013/02/03/sin-can-come-in-more-than-one-color/
