Not becoming a burden to others

2 Corinthians Bible Background

09.19.2014 New Testament: 2Co 11.10

To read the Bible in a year, read Second Corinthians 11.1–15 on September 19, In the year of our Lord 2014

By Don Ruhl

Paul reminded the Corinthian Church that he did not depend upon them for financial backing, but other churches supplied what he needed, and he determined that it would continue that way,

As the truth of Christ is in me, no one shall stop me from this boasting in the regions of Achaia (2 Corinthians 11.10).

There is a time to receive help, which Paul did from those other churches, and there is a time to decline help, which Paul did from the Corinthian Church. We have to ask the Lord for wisdom to know when to seek help and when not to seek it.
