11.09.2014 Old Testament: Jer 51.17–19
To read the Bible in a year, read Jeremiah 51–52 on November 9, In the year of our Lord 2014

Men make things and those works impress us, so much so that some people will worship those works, making gods out of them, but the one true God made all things,
Everyone is dull-hearted, without knowledge;
Every metalsmith is put to shame by the carved image;
For his molded image is falsehood,
And there is no breath in them.
They are futile, a work of errors;
In the time of their punishment they shall perish.
The Portion of Jacob is not like them,
For He is the Maker of all things;
And Israel is the tribe of His inheritance.
The Lord of hosts is His name.
(Jeremiah 51.17–19)
Be impressed with the work of the craftsman, but do not worship his craft, because it cannot save you. If you believe that it can, then I guess you will believe anything so long as it is not the truth.
However, what is God? To be God, is to say that He created all things. That is the God of the Bible. Is that the God you worship?
