If only the Pharisees knew the true identity of Jesus, they never would have done what Matthew shows us,

Then the Pharisees went and plotted how they might entangle Him in His talk (Matthew 22.15). 

How can puny little men entangle in speech Him who created all things with the breath of His mouth, who also created our ability to speak, and who created language? It is truly laughable, but unfortunately they really tried it and failed miserably.
