04.03.2015 New Testament: Luke 9.12
To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 9.1–36 on April 3, In the year of our Lord 2015
By Don Ruhl
Five thousand men followed Jesus one day, listening to Him teach. However, as the day got late, the twelve realized that the crowd needed to disperse that they might go eat,
When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him, “Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted place here” (Luke 9.12).
Yet, Jesus then showed that they could do something about it (Luke 9.13). Therefore, recognizing Jesus as the Lord does not release us from what we can do.
