The behavior of other people shocks you sometimes. What exactly is it about them that shocks you? Watch a Pharisee and what he saw in Jesus,

And as He spoke, a certain Pharisee asked Him to dine with him. So He went in and sat down to eat. When the Pharisee saw it, he marveled that He had not first washed before dinner (Luke 11.37–38).

We do not hold the Pharisees in high esteem, but at least they had people into their homes. Anyway when this Pharisee saw Jesus eat without first washing His hands, that shocked the Pharisee.

There are so many things in this world that should shock us, but sometimes we get like that Pharisee, and we criticize every little thing we see in others, instead of seeing the greater issues.

  1. I have been guilty of such. Shame on me….”criticize every little thing..” However, I repented, changed, and have been forgiven.
Now as to what shocks me, or what will shock me, is when the cow actually jumps over the moon and the dish runs away with the spoon. In my mind, two round things don’t run, they will roll. 🙂
