To read the Bible in a year, read John 15 on June 5, In the year of our Lord 2015

Why did Jesus say what He said, and why did He teach what He taught? What was His goal? What did He want to see in His disciples, and what does He want to see in us His disciples today?

“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full” (John 15.11).

He had two reasons for speaking, at least as far as this passage is concerned:

1. He intends for His words to put His joy into His disciples.
2. He intends for our joy to be full.

Do you have His joy in you, and does it stay there, or does it come and go? If you have His joy, is it partial or do you have His joy in fullness?

If you do not have His joy in you, and if you do not have it in fullness, then read and meditate upon what He has said.
