Stephen preached the truth that the Jewish Council needed to hear, including a young man, of whom we hear much about in the Bible,

And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul (Acts 7.58b). 

Saul of Tarsus gave his full support to the stoning death of Stephen, but then later, Saul himself becomes what Stephen was, a preacher of the Good News of the resurrection of Jesus Christ! People can change. We just have to live as God directs, and our lives may touch someone and later they may turn their lives around.
