Most Christians have a negative view of the Law of Moses, and that is unfortunate, because it was truly the Law of God! Therefore, you do not want to find yourself speaking against something that the God of heaven delivered! Paul explained one of the many uses of the Law,

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet” (Romans 7.7).

If we do not know of our sin, we will see no need for a savior, and if we see no need for a savior, we will see no need for Jesus of Nazareth in our lives. Therefore, we need the Law to help us to understand sin and that will lead to our condemnation, unless we trust in Jesus and obey Him.
