When under attack, a commander will not deliver long and difficult instructions to his troops, but will bark out short bursts of instructions, like Paul did in this passage,

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love (1 Corinthians 16.13–14).

Truly, we are under attack. Therefore, we must watch at all times. The enemy wants to push us off the faith, but we must stand fast in it. The temptation will come to fear, but that is the time to be brave. The overwhelming force of the enemy will make us feel weak, but we have to determine to be strong, for that is why we are strong.

In all those things, and in all other things that disciples of Jesus Christ do, they must have the motivation of love.
