The order of knowing the Lord has changed

Hebrews Bible Background

11.11.2015 New Testament: Heb 8.11

To read the Bible in a year, read Hebrews 8 on November 11, In the year of our Lord 2015

We must know the Lord, but when we come to know Him in timing with our birth has changed from what was done during the Law of Moses to what is done now during the Law of Christ,

None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, “Know the Lord,” for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them (Hebrews 8.11).

An Israelite child was born into a covenant relationship with the Lord, although the child did not know it, but in time, his parents and others would teach him to know the Lord.

Christians come to know the Lord, then they are born into a covenant relationship with the Lord. Therefore, they do not have to be taught to know the Lord, for they already know Him.
