To read the Bible in a year, read Hebrews 10.24–39 on November 14, In the year of our Lord 2015

The Lord has made great promises to us, and knowing of their greatness, we want them now. However, we have to endure some persecution first and be patient, for at the right time, the Lord will fulfill His promise. This was the message of the Book of Hebrews, and to back up what the writer said, he quoted from the Old Testament prophet Habakkuk,
“For yet a little while,
And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.
Now the just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him.”
Habakkuk wanted to know when the Lord would keep His promises of punishment for the wicked, and the Lord told the prophet the words quoted above. Sure enough, in time, the Lord sent the Babylonians against Judah and to punish the nation for its evil.
Likewise, the day hastens when the Lord shall punish all who persecute His people.
