The Lord used His angel to show John the apostle one sign after another, primarily in heaven, including this one,

Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete (Revelation 15.1). 

John considered this sign as great and marvelous, for he saw seven angels having the seven last plagues, and once they poured out the wrath of God, that would complete God’s wrath on the Roman Beast that John had seen and continues to see.

Our enemies exhibit great strength and power, but do not despair, for we serve one who far exceeds in power any enemy that we may have.
