Israel had conquered much of the land, but before they went further, they had to do something important,

Now the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of meeting there. And the land was subdued before them (Joshua 18.1).

With the Land of Canaan before them, they had enough peace that they could finally set up the Tabernacle of Meeting, the structure they had made in the wilderness for the priest to meet with the Lord on behalf of the people.

While worship today takes place in the location of the spirit and of the truth, the Lord’s people still need a place where they can meet together to meet with the Lord of heaven.

• Do you ever work on or clean up the facility?
