03.29.2016 New Testament: Luke 6.37
To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 6.27–49 on March 29, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
Do you need for the Lord to bless you? Do you want man to bless you? Do you think you can receive blessings without blessing first? Jesus taught simply,
“Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven” (Luke 6.37).
If you do not want to be judged, do not judge.
If you do not want to be condemned, do not condemn.
If you want to be forgiven, forgive.
Is that difficult to understand? No, but what about practicing it? If it is difficult to practice, whose fault is that? The Lord gave us a simple way to live. Do not complicate it with excuses, but just do what He said to do.
- Have you checked your attitude toward other people?
- How do you treat people who act differently than you do?
