Ehud the judge began to deliver Israel from the Moabites when he went to the king, and told the king that he had a secret message for him. The king of the Moabites ordered everyone out of the room, which gave Ehud the opportunity to assassinate the king and to escape,

But Ehud had escaped while they delayed, and passed beyond the stone images and escaped to Seirah (Judges 3.26).

The Lord wanted Ehud to lead Israel, so the Lord would not have Ehud die right away. There was work to be done, and Ehud would accomplish the work.

• Do you know that the Lord holds your life, your very breath in His hand?
• Do you believe and trust that the Lord knows what He is doing with your life?
