Is your city headed down the path of wickedness? Can anything change it? Have cities in the past changed from wickedness to something better? The Book of Judges shows the abominable city of Gibeah in Benjamin, but by the time we get to First Samuel, we discover that the first king of Israel came from Gibeah, and it hosted him,

Saul, Jonathan his son, and the people present with them remained in Gibeah of Benjamin. But the Philistines encamped in Michmash (1 Samuel 13.16).

Yes, cities can turn, but they do so for various reasons. Will your city turn, and if so, what will cause it? In the meantime, can pursue righteousness that you might preserve your city just with your presence.

Questions:

  • How often do you help people in your city?
  • Do you support good strong preaching in your town?
