05.13.2016 New Testament: John 4.49–50
To read the Bible in a year, read John 4.31–54 on May 13, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
A man with a very sick child, even at the point of death, went to Jesus for Him to heal the boy. The man urged Jesus, and notice what Jesus said, and then what the man did,
The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies!” Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way (John 4.49–50).
The man spoke simple words. Jesus spoke a simple command and spoke a simple promise. The man simply believed and simply went back home.
When he arrived at home, he discovered that his son had been healed.
