Imagine having Jesus with you for three and a half years! You would never want Him to leave, and when He told them that it was time for Him to return to the Father in heaven, Jesus knew that troubled the hearts of the apostles, but He said to them,

“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you” (John 14.16–18).

They needed to know that they would not be alone, but they would have the Holy Spirit with them, dwelling in them, as they preached the good news about the Son of God. Truly, the Lord is amazing by willing to give us the greatest gifts!
