Some people believe that an evangelist, as opposed to a local preacher, cannot be an evangelist unless he is constantly on the move. Paul was an evangelist, yet, when in Corinth,

And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them (Acts 18.11).

Paul preached in Ephesus for three years (Acts 20.31). Did he cease being an evangelist in these two cases? No, an evangelist simply brings a good message, and he can do that while going from town to town, or he can do it in one place for all his life.

Questions:

  • How long has your preacher been with your congregation?
