Waiting for salvation

Psalms Bible Background

07.14.2016 – Old Testament: Psa 14.7

To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 13–16 on July 14, In the year of our Lord 2016

By Don Ruhl

David closed out a psalm about atheists with the hope that he would see the Lord’s salvation, for it is the lack of immediate salvation that the atheist often speaks against God,

Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion!
When the LORD brings back the captivity of His people,
Let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad.
(Psalm 14.7)

The Lord makes us wait, as He waits for the repentance of the lost, in this case of the atheist and from time to time, it happens.

Questions:

  • Can you continue to wait on the Lord?
  • What do you wish that the Lord would do for the church?
