What is the Lord to you?

Psalms Bible Background

07.15.2016 – Old Testament: Psa 18.2–3

To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 17–18 on July 15, In the year of our Lord 2016

By Don Ruhl

What is the Lord to you? What kind of pictures would you draw of Him, showing His preciousness to you? Listen to David as he spoke of what the Lord meant to him, and then how he applied it,

The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised;
So shall I be saved from my enemies.
(Psalm 18.2–3)

To David, the Lord was his rock, fortress, deliverer, strength, shield, horn of salvation, and stronghold. That being the case, David would call upon the Lord when in trouble.

Questions:
