07.19.2016 Old Testament: Psa 28.8–9
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 28–30 on July 19, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
The psalmists refer to the Lord frequently as our strength and as our refuge. In what ways is He our strength and refuge? What does He do for us? Listen to the last two verses of Psalm 28,
The Lord is their strength,
And He is the saving refuge of His anointed.
Save Your people,
And bless Your inheritance;
Shepherd them also,
And bear them up forever.
With the Lord as our strength and refuge:
- He saves us
- He blesses us
- He shepherds us
- He bears us up forever
Those sound pretty good to me. Do they sound good to you? If so, think on them for a while, reminding yourself also throughout this day, what He is to you, and see what it does to your heart and to the way you view your life.
