08.18.2016 – New Testament: Rom 16.23
To read the Bible in a year, read Romans 16 on August 18, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
As Paul was closing his letter to the Roman Church, he sent the greetings of Christians who were with him,
Gaius, my host and the host of the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the treasurer of the city, greets you, and Quartus, a brother (Romans 16.23).
Paul was staying with Gaius, and the local church met in his house. Also, note that one of the members of the church there, was the treasurer of the city, showing that those who work in government, are invited to be part of the church.
