Mistreat your parents and it will come back to haunt you

Proverbs Bible Background

09.16.2016 – Old Testament: Pro 30.17

To read the Bible in a year, read Proverbs 30–31 on September 16, In the year of our Lord 2016

By Don Ruhl

We enter the world through our parents, but then some fight against their parents, showing dissatisfaction with the way of God, but such a person will suffer for it,

The eye that mocks his father,
And scorns obedience to his mother,
The ravens of the valley will pick it out,
And the young eagles will eat it.
(Proverbs 30.17)

Eventually a mocking and disobedient child will pay for how he has treated his parents, even on into adulthood. May he repent immediately before disgrace falls him.
