10.09.2016 – Old Testament: Isa 41.25
To read the Bible in a year, read Isaiah 41–42 on October 9, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
To put it mildly, Judah displeased the Lord. Therefore, He promised to do something that they may not have thought possible,
“I have raised up one from the north,
And he shall come;
From the rising of the sun he shall call on My name;
And he shall come against princes as though mortar,
As the potter treads clay.”
(Isaiah 41.25)
The Lord would bring the Babylonians against Judah, and they would enter the Kingdom of Judah from the North. Later, the Babylonians did just as the Lord prophesied, crushing Judah, including royalty.
