By Don Ruhl
Some Christians in Thessalonica quit working, believing that the Lord would return right then. Therefore, they started expecting members of the body of Christ to feed them. However, Paul said that they operated disorderly living that way, and if someone would not go back to work, he said,
And if anyone does not obey our word in this epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed (2 Thessalonians 3.14).
If such a person’s fellow-Christians refused to keep company with them, he would examine his life and be ashamed for the way that he had been living.
