Undoubtedly your preacher repeats things that he has already taught. Why does he repeats things? Listen to what Paul, a preacher, told Timothy, a preacher,

Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to strive about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers (2 Timothy 2.14).

The Lord wants us to repeat things, reminding you of what you have already learned, for we sometimes forget those things, or we forget how important they are.

We do need reminders on not striving about words that proves profitless, for it only ruins those who hear you arguing.

  • How does it affect you when you hear two people arguing about a word?
  • Instead of arguing about a word, what should you do?
