10.29.2016 – New Testament: 2Ti 3.1–5
To read the Bible in a year, read Second Timothy 3 on October 29, In the year of our Lord 2016

What shall the church be like in the last days? It is difficult to imagine, but Paul warned of very bad times in the church during the last days, as he warned Timothy,
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! (2 Timothy 3.1–5).
How could the church become the opposite of what it should be? The leaders will quit teaching the word of God, and the members will love to have it so. For this reason, make sure that you read the word yourself, and insist that the word be taught where you have your church membership.
- Do you want to hear God’s word, or do you want to hear jokes and warm stories?
- Why are you a Christian?
