Do your works back up your words?

Titus Bible Background

10.31.2016 – New Testament: Tts 1.16

To read the Bible in a year, read Titus 1 on October 31, In the year of our Lord 2016

Many people find professing to know God desirable, and they will gladly let others know what they believe. Yet, many of them do not back up their words with their works, as Paul noted,

They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work (Titus 1.16).

Truly, as James taught, we can say that we have faith, but we should show our faith, likewise, we can say that we know God, but we need to show it by the way we live.

Questions:

  • Can people know that you know God by the way you live?
  • If not, what kind of person would they think that you are by the way you live?
