11.11.2016 – New Testament: Heb 8.12
To read the Bible in a year, read Hebrews 8 on November 11, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
What if the Lord forgave us the way we do those who have sinned against us? For some people that would be a good thing, but for others it would not. When the Lord forgives, He also forgets, as the writer of the Book of Hebrews said when he quoted from Jeremiah,
“For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more” (Hebrews 8.12).
We want the Lord to forgive us in that manner, but He wants us to forgive as He does.
Questions:
- What keeps you from forgiving as the Lord does?
- Do you know for sure that the Lord has forgiven you?
