11.19.2016 – New Testament: Jam 1.19–20
To read the Bible in a year, read James 1 on November 19, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
Patience and gentleness should characterize the disciples of Christ, and not the worldly attitudes of people who do not know Jesus, as James wrote,
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God (James 1.19–20).
Now that is something to think on for the rest of the day. Listen and at the same time you may notice that your wrath will start to subside.
Questions:
- Do you listen to others?
- Do you find it difficult to control your anger?
