11.26.2016 – New Testament: 1Pe 3.17
To read the Bible in a year, read First Peter 3 on November 26, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
Unfortunately we have decided that we should not have to suffer, because we believe there is no glory in suffering, unless a warrior or police officer suffers for doing his job. Let us get back to the Scriptures, because they set our minds straight, showing that suffering for doing good is a blessing,
For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil (1 Peter 3.17).
After reading that passage, what do you think about suffering now? What do you think about suffering although you have not done anything wrong, but you suffer for doing the right thing?
- Do you get angry for suffering?
- Have you thought about seeing life from the Lord’s perspective, that suffering can be a sign of His blessing?
