What do you want to know more than whether you are with God and that He is with you? Does anything else truly matter, if we do not have fellowship with Him? However, He has not left us in the dark about such matters, having John write to us,

By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit (1 John 4.13).

John had to reveal to us that we have the Spirit when we live in God and He lives in us, otherwise, we would not know, for we do not feel the Spirit, but He inhabits us according to the word of God.

What more could God do to let us know that we abide together with Him? He gave us Jesus, then He gave us the Spirit. His grace and generosity cannot be described or pictured.

Questions:

  • Do you abide with God?
  • Are you a Christian according to the teachings of the New Testament?
