Sometimes we read Scripture and we do not understand its meaning, or what the Lord wants us to do, and that troubles us. Other times, we know perfectly the meaning of Scripture and what the Lord wants us to do, and that troubles us. Still another experience is like the one that Daniel had,

“This is the end of the account. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts greatly troubled me, and my countenance changed; but I kept the matter in my heart” (Daniel 7.28).

While Daniel may not have known all the interpretation of the vision the Lord gave him, yet, he understood enough to see that the vision revealed troubling times for the people of God, and that troubled the soul of Daniel.

Questions:

  • What do you do when Scripture troubles you?
  • How much does the welfare of God’s people concern you?
