From Jerusalem, the Lord began to bless all the Earth, just as prophesied through Abraham (Genesis 12.3). Zechariah spoke of it,

And in that day it shall be
That living waters shall flow from Jerusalem,
Half of them toward the eastern sea
And half of them toward the western sea;
In both summer and winter it shall occur.
And the LORD shall be King over all the earth.
In that day it shall be—
“The LORD is one,”
And His name one.
(Zechariah 14.8–9) 

In all directions from Jerusalem and every time of the year, the word of the Lord like a river spread out, because the Lord no longer had only the Land of Israel where He reigned as King, but He is over all the Earth.
